Terms of Service
Zizipay Technologies (Registration No. 2026/579604/07). Last updated 2026.
1. Current status: early access
ZiziPay is pre-launch. We're onboarding a limited early access group of individuals and businesses before opening the platform more broadly. Access during this period may be limited, invitation-based, or subject to lower transaction limits than the platform's eventual public terms.
2. Who can use ZiziPay
You must be 18 or older, resident in South Africa, and able to complete the identity verification required under FICA to open an account.
3. How your funds are held
Every balance is recorded on a double-entry ledger and reconciled against the money held for it, with a full audit trail behind each movement. Before ZiziPay opens to the public, customer funds will be held in a segregated account under a bank-sponsor arrangement rather than directly by Zizipay Technologies, with FICA and AML controls in place. Regulatory registration with the South African Reserve Bank is being pursued alongside that arrangement.
4. Fees
Each account carries a once-off R50 activation fee, taken from that account's first deposit. Wallet-to-wallet transfers and multi-signature business approvals are free. Other fees apply only to transactions that touch an external bank rail. See the current fee schedule on our Pricing page, which may be updated as the platform develops.
5. Your responsibilities
Keep your login credentials secure, provide accurate information, and use ZiziPay only for lawful payments. For business accounts, the account owner is responsible for who they add as a signer and what signing policy they configure.
6. Changes to these terms
As ZiziPay moves from early access toward general availability, these terms will be updated to reflect full regulatory clearance and public availability. We'll notify active users of material changes.
